I have a nesting house wren at home in north Knoxville and their has been a repeat nesting house wren at Turkey Creek Wetland in west Knoxville for at least the past couple years. The one at home had a successful nest attempt, fledging young a week or two ago and appears to have moved to a seperate nest box that recently was home to nesting Carolina chickadees, which was successful. The house wren pulled out all the moss and hair used by the chickadees and I believe has begun to fill it with small sticks. Bird On!
