The Lee & Lois Herndon Chapter kicked off its annual October Bird Walks at Sycamore Shoals State Park in Elizabethton, Carter Co., TN, on Saturday, Oct. 1. The walks begin at 8 a.m. every Saturday in October from the parking lot at the park's headquarters. Attending the first walk: Sue Peters, Elizabethton; Paul and Gay Bischoff, Gray; and Herndon chapter members Reece Jamerson, Johnson City; Brookie and Jean Potter, Elizabethton; and Bryan Stevens, Hampton.
