Savannah Bottoms,
Pickwick Lake.
Here are the high-lights;
Snow Goose 155 (Small flocks kept flying overhead)
Ross's Goose 5 (Seen migrating with Snow Geese)
Red-breasted Merganser 1
Golden Eagle (One adult along the river at Savannah Bottoms.)
Virginia Rail (2 in marshy area responded to playback.)
Fish Crow 1 (Sat and vocalized at close range by the dam.)
American Pipit 15
Lapland Longspur 3 (Found by listening to "TEW" call)
Brewers Blackbird 6 (1 male, 5 females, feeding close by)
It was also a good morning for migrating waterfowl, flocks kept passing
over Savannah Bottoms all morning, mostly Scaup, Ring-necked Ducks,
Mallards, Gadwall, and a few Pintails.
