I will post more details later tonight, but at this time I just wanted to let anyone interested know that the Gull-billed Tern was NOT relocated this afternoon. I had the bird for a total of about 10-12 minutes, over two different times, between 09:00 and 09:45 this morning, at the Great River Rd and Highway 103 junction in Dyer County. Nancy Moore arrived shortly after the second sighting, but we never relocated the bird, and Jeff and I spent the rest of the afternoon in the area until about 17:00, also with no luck. Among other highlights were 3 Whimbrels seen by Jeff Wilson in the same general area, just north of Hwy 103. I will follow up with more details, Mike Todd McKenzie, TN Carroll Co. birder1@xxxxxxxxxxxxx www.pbase.com/mctodd =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net is owned by the Tennessee Ornithological Society Neither the society(TOS) nor its moderator(s) endorse the views or opinions expressed by the members of this discussion group.
