An adult Golden Eagle was seen at the Bennet's Creek Overlook, back at
the location where several spent the winter last year. This is a different
bird than the immature one that was seen here last week, so that makes at
least two that are now in the area.
I think this location is the most reliable, publicly accessible place to
find Goldens in the state anymore.
If anyone wishes to look for these birds, they spend a lot of time in the
trees across the bay from the Overlook, where they can keep an eye on the
thousands of waterfowl below.
Some time between 9:00 and 10:30 they generally come out and circle
overhead, providing good looks.
Good birding!
