I've been checking the Great Horned Owl nest in the woods
behind our house in west Knox County, TN, off and on,
trying not to disturb them too much. This morning (3 March)
I ran by the neighbor's house (from which you can see the
nest) before going to work. Finally spotted a big, white,
downy owlet in the nest. Maybe about 1/3 the size of the
parent who was also present until some crows flushed her.
Only saw the one but given the angle to the nest and the
fact that I had somehow missed seeing any babies until now,
it is possible that there is a second.

The fog didn't make for good picture taking so I'll try
again some other time.
