My husband hangs our feeders with fishing line, which he has dipped in
mineral oil. We have not been troubled with ants since.

Subject: [TN-Bird] Feeder Trouble
My hummingbird feeders are attached to the red water cups, the cups attached
to a hanger which is attached to a tree. The cups are supposed to deter
ants. Somehow I have a species of big red ants that don't mind water. They
are getting into my feeders somehow. Any suggestions appreciated.
