[TN-Bird] Fall Migrant Warblers - Hampton Creek Cove, Carter Co.

Hampton Creek Cove, Carter Co.

Some fall migrant warblers are starting to show up at Hampton Creek Cove
Natural Area. This morning (8/19) I saw these warblers:

Black-throated Green (2)
Black-and-White (2)
Hooded (1)
Ovenbird (1)
Canada (1)
Louisiana Waterthrush (2)
Common Yellowthroat (2)
Golden-Winged (4)
Chestnut-sided (7)
American Redstart (3)

The last four species (along with Yellow Warbler and Yellow-Breasted Chat)
are summer residents  at Hampton Creek Cove.

Most of the warbler species were in a mixed species flock composed mostly of
Carolina Chickadees and Dark-eyed Juncos. The Louisiana Waterthrush were
seen in the creek in the upstream wooded area.

Some other birds seen included:

Philadelphia Vireo (1)
Red-eyed Vireo (5)
Scarlet Tanager (2)
Rose-Breasted Grosbeak (2)
  as well as Indigo Bunting, Cedar Waxwing, American Goldfinch, Song
Sparrow, Field  
  Sparrow, Chipping Sparrow, Eastern Towhee, Brown Thrasher, Eastern Wood
Peewee, Eastern Phoebe,
  Northern Cardinal, Wood Thrush, Downy Woodpecker, Pileated Woodpecker,
Ruby-throated 
  Hummingbird, Mourning Dove, Least Flycatcher, Willow Flycatcher, Carolina
Chickadee, Dark-eyed
  Junco, Tufted Titmouse, American Crow, Blue Jay, Gray Catbird, American
Robin, Eastern Bluebird, 
  Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher, Carolina Wren, House Wren, White-breasted Nuthatch,
European Starling and
  Common Grackle.
