Terry,
Your comments re: snow goose summer records rang a bell with me on the second 
reading.

I got my state snow goose for LA in the summer several years ago when Becky 
and I went to Baton Rouge for an engagement party for my son, Curt, and 
Chris.  I was birding with one of the better birders there, Carol Foil, who 
is on the Vet staff at LSU.  Ir was at a lake on campus, and, to Carol's 
knowledge, was not an injured bird.
