First dickcissel yesterday (May 6) singing in Bedford Co...a treat. We also had 2 outstanding looks at Pileated Woodpeckers flying (2 different ones) yesterday morning. Still have white-crowned sparrows...think we still have a few white-throats but can't say for sure (they're very secretive, now)...Today, we had a Belted Kingfisher make a huge spalsh in just ~3 inches of water diving & catching a small fish in Norman's Creek beside us while driving on the road...Still have Bob-o-links...I'm sure I missed something!
