There was a handsome group of REDHEAD ducks (11) as well as a Male
Northern Pintail, Hooded Mergansers and 1 Black Duck today at Cove Lake
State Park/Campbell County, TN .Total Gadwall in the lake and behind the
campground was 53.
The immature Snow Goose has remained for about a month now, and seems
happy with the accommodations and hospitality of the Canada Geese.
There were 200-300 Robins, over 1,500 Starlings and at least 300 Cedar
Waxwings
plus a couple hundred Yellow-Rumped Warblers around the entire park
eating
Cedar Berries and Sweet Gum seeds.
41 species were noted, with Winter Wren 3 , Golden-Crowned Kinglets
and a
single Ruby Crowned Kinglet being the most interesting.
