Radnor Lake State Natural Area Nashville TN Late this afternoon one first winter male Common Goldeneye was observed on the east end of the lake. He was in with a group of aproximately 30 Ring-necked Ducks. Otherwise the "usual suspects" included good numbers of Gadwall, Black Ducks, Mallards, Am. Wigeons, Buffleheads,a few L. Scaup and P.-billed Grebes. Barred Owl was also observed- a common occurance at Radnor, but those up-close, eye-level, no-binoculars-needed views never get old.
