Hello TN-Birders, hope you don't mind the interuption from the south.
The next Colonial Coast Birding & Nature Festival will be held on Jekyll
Island, GA from October 9-13.
The Festival Website is available here: http://www.coastalgeorgiabirding.org/
and the latest press release is available here:

A note from Beth Roth, Festival Publicity Chairman
The reason that we're sending this out at this early date is
because...Registration for the Festival begins on Saturday, August 23rd at 9:00
A.M (EST) and ends on September 22nd. Click the Registration link on the above
website for more information. We try to give people a "Heads Up", to save the
date, sign up for some of the more popular Island Trips, and to make hotel
reservations. People can also come just for the day to explore The Rookery at
The Jekyll Island Convention Center. Individuals or families can enjoy learning
about Georgia's magnificent coastline at "The Rookery", an interactive exhibit
featuring booths manned by authors, artists, and conservation based
organizations. Master falconer Steve Hein and a collection of birds of prey
from Georgia Southern University's Center for Wildlife Education and Lamar Q.
Ball Raptor Center, will present live raptor shows on Saturday, October 11th.
By the way, all the exhibit hall activities will be free
and open to the public.
We appreciate all the support and enthusiasm that you've given us for this
special event, throughout the years. If you would like
anymore information, or would like to meet up with someone on Festival Weekend,
please contact one of us.
