An immature MISSISSIPPI KITE was seen at the bridge (behind Brainerd Golf
course) at the Brainerd Levee on August 19. (Kyle Wagner)

Four species of vireos (including Blue-headed and Yellow-throated),
Black-throated Green Warblers and two Baltimore Orioles were seen at the
Craven's House on August 18.  At the Cravens House on August 25 were two
Blue-winged Warblers, one Northern Parula and a Baltimore Oriole. (Kevin

A new location for Eurasion Collared Doves was found on August 17 at the
town of Coulterville in the extreme northeastern section of Hamilton co.  A
early Northern Harrier was reported from close to the same location on the
same date. (Nelson Bennett)

Three Cattle egrets were reported from Baylor Lake again on August 17. (Bill
Haley)


The next general meeting of the Chattanooga TOS will be on September 12 at
7:00
PM at the Accension Luthern Church 720 South Germantown Road

Be on the lookout for more early fall migrants.
