Spring Migration in full swing with more neotropical migrants making their
first appearances.

The Peregrine Falcons are still being seen below Chickamuga Dam at least one
chick has been seen at the nest site this week. (Harold Sharpe)

The TOS fieldtrip to the Cravens House on April 28 was well attended and
despite the periodic rainshowers many migrants were seen including  fourteen
species of warblers with the highlights of Blackburnian, Orange-crowned,
Cape May, and Blackpoll.  Baltimore Orioles, Swainson's Thrushes, Summer
Tanagers, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and Yellow-billed Cuckoos were also seen.

The first report of Bay-breasted and Golden-winged Warbler came from
Sequatchie co. on Signal Mountain on April 30. (Clyde Blum)

The first report of Canada Warbler came from the Craven's House on April 30.

A report of a Black-throated Blue Warbler came from the Craven's House on
April 27. (fide Betty Wampler)

The first report of Veery came from the Lula Lake property in Walker co. GA
on April 30. (David Aborn)

Cattle Egrets were seen on the Johnson Farm in Sequatchie co. this week.

Fifteen Bobolinks and a Dickcissel were seen at the Riverport on April 28.

One immature Black-crowned Night Heron was seen at Amnicola Marsh on April
28, (Dan Jacobson, Kevin Calhoon) and another was seen at the Standifer Gap
marsh on April 28  (fide Jim Wampler) as well as two Virginia Rails.

at the Accension Luthern Church, 720 South Germantown Rd.
