I spent Monday (4/9) in the field at the usual birding spots in Hamilton County. Found 93 species for the day, not a bad total for early April. Highlights included: Cravens House: - Two male Northern Harriers - 10 species of warblers - My FOS Ovenbird, Worm-eating Warbler, Prairie and Northern Parula Standifer Gap Marsh: - American Bittern - Sora - Eastern Kingbird - Solitary Sandpiper Brainerd Levee: - Lesser Yellowlegs - Great Horned Owl on nest Tennessee River: - 2 Caspian Terns Camp Jordan: - 3 Fish Crows - 1 Green Heron - 1 Eastern Kingbird Had two Cerulean Warblers singing in my yard this morning (4/11).
