9/11/11, A.M. Carver's Gap, as well as some pull-offs off TN143 close to the gap. I met up this morning with Don Holt at Carver's Gap. Tennessee Warblers have arrived in large numbers at Carver's Gap, and an interesting mix of other warblers was also seen. Don spotted a Golden-winged Warbler that flew from a flock of agitated songbirds that were mobbing something at the top of a Spruce. Don thought that it might be a Northern Saw-whet Owl, but we weren't able to find the source of the birds' annoyance after investigating for a while.
