Williamson Co.
After birding by foot this morning on the NTOS field trip to Warner Park, I
decided to bird by car late this afernoon. I wanted to try to find some
"country birds", so headed south and wandered around northern Williamson Co. I
was
especially looking for Bobolinks, Grasshopper Sparrows and Dickcissels, and
was lucky to find two out of three. There were also plenty of other colorful
highlights such as orioles, tanagers and grosbeaks. A beautiful day to be out.

Most sightings came from around the Del Rio Pk. area off of Old Hillsboro Rd.
and Big East Fork Rd. off of Old Harding Rd. I was surprised to not see any
Cliff Swallows at the bridge on Old Harding where we always get them on our
spring count.
