Marcia, I'm the guilty party. Or at least I'm likely the one to whom they refer. I'm assuming this was the SUV or minivan with 2 or 3 people who drove by at about 45 MPH (!), shouted obscenities and flipped me the bird. Hmmpf. I was pulled off the road as far as is possible, and my 8 or 10 trips there, I have been passed by about 6-7 cars and 2 tractors. Most of these people have given me a friendly wave, and 3 people have stopped to inquire. After brief, friendly conversations 2 of them took some looks through my scope. I'm not sure what kind of bug was up the backside of those people in the SUV... I agree we need to practice good ettiquette, and I would never consider parking on part of a road that had any traffice, or where the visibility wasn't as extensive as it is on this straight, rural road.
