[TN-Bird] Bird banding in NYC

There's an inside view of bird banding ("A Bird's Life") in  New York City in 
the November 5 issue of the New Yorker, p.  39.   This time it's not Central 
Park but the Bronx Zoo where two  ornithologists have netted four thousand 
migrating birds over the past four  years.
 
BTW, for baseball fans, Roger Angell, dean of baseball  sportswriters, is 
featured in the first article in The Talk of the Town, p.  31ff.  It's entitled 
"So Long, Joe," and true sports fans will know who Joe  is.
