I just returned home from an hour and a half at Chester Frost Park along the western shore of Chickamauga Lake above Hixson, Hamilton County, TN. I was pleasantly surprised to observe one each individual Tree Swallow and Barn Swallow at 1:08PM. I was on the island where the large pavilion is located looking back (southerly direction) toward the main boat ramp when I spotted the two birds. They were observed feeding over the water for 1 - 2 minutes and stayed relatively close together. Both were in crisp plumage. Not much else of interest in the park although I had four Sandhill Cranes flying upriver at 12:30PM. Total of 36 species with NO Red-headed Woodpeckers encountered.
