Dear all,
I'm a British researcher currently based in France, and will be staying
in Memphis (close to the Cook Convention Center) from Monday August 7th -
Friday August 11th. I'd love to get out for a spot of local birding, and was
hoping someone on this listserv would have some suggestions for birding
spots in downtown Memphis (ideally reachable by public transport). Even
better, if anyone local was planning on birding that week and would like
some company, I'd love to join you. I've attached a (rather optimistic) wish
list of potential life birds on the state, so would be especially interested
in hearing about spots for any of these species.

Finally, would like to say Hi to David Trently from Knoxville if he's still
on this listserv - he took me birding in the east of the state on my first
ever visit to the US, and helped find me my first 100 US bird species.

Good birding,

Richard Hall
Orsay, France
