After getting directions from Meredith and Ed Clebsch at Kyker
Bottoms, we ventured to Tellico Lake. At the 1st boat ramp on
the left past the Sequoyah Birthplace Museum on Hwy 360, a lone
Clark's (Western's?) Grebe and 2 Common Loons were seen. Just
further south on 336, we took the 1st Monroe County Rd. on the
left, blue marker 454 we recall. At the first pull-off on the
left, we saw 2 more Common loons, and 3 Clark's (Western's?)
Grebes huddled together. That was the closest look we got. There
appeared to be quite a bit of white above the eye, but we were a
good distance away. Little else seen in the windy conditions.

1997 DeLorme, pg. 43, D-5
Take 411 heading west from Maryville, turn left at the Vonore
traffic light at Hardees on to Hwy 336. The boat ramp and County
Rd. 454, are 2- 3 miles down on the left.
