September 15th will be special on TIPSnet -- we will celebrate the
Amateur Radio 'career' of KB2GSD, CBS News Anchor Walter Cronkuite who
recently became a Silent Key.
The news outlets far and wide covered his news career at CBS, but we
want to dwell on his hobby - amateur radio. We'll have a first hand
account of his Novice Class CW exam from the ham who gave him his test.
From CQ Amateur Radio Magazine, Rich Mosessen, W2VU will join us. At
the time he worked for CBS News. We will discuss Walters contribution to
our hobby.
Bring your thoughts on this famous ham operator, Rich has many funny
stories from years at CBS, and some of the other famous hams that worked
there.
