With it, printout on the go is possible, without installing printer drivers or application software on the notebook, PDA or mobile phone. Once the solution from ThinPrint GmbH establishes itself, print stations will be available everywhere for customers to print their documents. Possible Public Printing operators include hotel and restaurant chain as well as gas stations, copy shops, and libraries. It is just as feasible that newspaper stands will offer printing services to add to their business. ?With the Public Printing solution, businesses can add a lucrative extra to their service portfolio with minimal effort. Most won?t even need to invest in additional hardware, because the necessary equipment is already there,? explains Carsten Mickeleit, Managing Director at ThinPrint. Public Printing is available in three versions - Basic, Advanced und Premium -, depending on the environment where it is run. The Basic version is mainly intended for businesses that want to enable documents to be printed from a notebook or tablet PC. The document is uploaded to the operator?s Public Printing website and can then be printed from his Public Printing terminal. Possible areas of application could be corporate conference or meeting rooms or smaller hotspots in newspaper stands or copy shops. The Advanced version has the added option of uploading email attachments as well as files. Users with mobile telephones, Blackberrys or Smartphones simply forward the attachment to the print service?s mail address and receive a code number, which can be used to print the document at the operator?s print station. The Premium version was developed for larger, networked environments; for example, transregional hotspot operators who want to offer Public Printing in all of their hotspots, like in larger conference centers, train stations, and airports. The print job could then be started at the local airport, for instance, but actually printed during the 90-minute layover by entering the access code at the next airport. ThinPrint GmbH High-performance, consistent infrastructures for printing and distributing information in the mobile internet are the focus of the product portfolio of ThinPrint GmbH. A significant pillar of the company is the .print technology, basis for the software print solutions developed for server based, web based, and mobile computing. These solutions are already being successfully applied around the world. Previously the company has made its name mainly in the Citrix MetaFrame and Microsoft Terminal Services arena, but has been marketing its products increasingly and equally as successfully for distributed networks, web applications, and mobile applications. New innovations from the successful IT manufacturer are the product families Content Beamer, a plug-and-play solution for mobile internet access, and Public Printing for printing at public locations. 400 renowned distributors and resellers in 48 countries currently market the products of the German software smithy with branch offices in USA and Australia. Thanks to strategic partnerships, the client components of the patent pending .print technology are integrated in a multitude of terminals, print boxes, PDAs, and mobile telephones from leading hardware manufacturers.
