Yup - good eyes, well spotted with the differing OS version - IME I don't think it's a good idea to use a common profile between the two OSs. Plus as well as the permissions / rights thing, you may also have issues with apps being in different locations between local desktops and terminal servers, or not being present in one or the other. However, you could probably do something funky with hybrid profiles.
