this was my third time to come across this. i had managed to get my
previous stuff working in 4 so that I didn't have to address this. Now,
I have a app that is crashing b/c of the TWAIN redirecting in 4 and had
no choice but to roll back.

after a looooong morning, it was found that when you uninstall PS4 it deletes a required key that is not replaced when you install an older version of Citrix (XPe FR3 in my case, no SP4 didn't fix it either).
