Hi Brian,

The most common problem I've seen with WAN connected data stores and the
IMA service stalling is when when it's loading mfprintss.dll. If you're
running win2k Fr3 then this info will be useful, otherwise probably not.

Go to HKLM\Software\Citrix\IMA\Runtime and look at the value
Currentlyloadingplugin. This value shows the module currently being
loaded by the IMA service. If the value is empty life is wonderful and
the IMA service has started, if it isn't then you'll have the module
that's causing oriblems.

If the value is mfprintss.dll, and particularly if you've autoreplicated
any printer drivers, then get hold of hotfix XE103W2k100. That'll fix
the problem for you.

Regards,

Rick

Subject: [THIN] datastore connection problem..heeeelllpppp

Hi list!

I'm having IMA service failures attempting to connect a server to a
datastore on the other end of a WAN link. The datastore I'm trying to
connect to is a subscriber node in an MSSQL replication topology.

I have not been through the full problem analysis on it, and so I
havent' checked/upped IMA timeout values, nor have I checked that the
newly configured replication topology is actually working...

my question is this... assuming that the replication is not playing
ball, am I correct in assuming that a Citrix server should be able to at
least start the IMA service against a read-only datastore?

thanks in advance... Brianos
