I don't think that local users can change those settings. Make sure
they are not Power Users. Keep all your users in the local users group
and that might work.

Subject: [THIN] Windows Explorer Folder options

In a published Win2003 server desktop I need to give users the
functionality of the General and View tabs in Windows Explorer, Tools,
Folder Options, but want to disable or hide the File Types tab. Anyone
know a way of doing this? The GPO settings I've tried don't seem to
cover it.

I'm also wondering if other people are granting users this
access in their published desktops - am I likely to see any issues if I
don't restrict it? I presume the worst a user can do is stuff up the
settings in their own profile?

        TIA

        Steve
