I've often wondered but never needed to delve deeper. Now you guys have
left me wondering how to turn that on as I recently procured terminals
with a sound card.
So... how is it that you turn it on "per connection"?

Yeah RDP 5.2 (with 2003) has an audio channel.
It is off by default on the client. You have to turn it on per
connection but its there.,
