Have a look at EOL Universal Printer and talk to Peter Ghostine. They
have a solution that does not require a client piece or can set
something up for you.

I have thought about it, but our problem is that we are an ASP. We deal
with customers all over the country that already have there PCs in place
and we do good to get the citrix client installed on them. Trying to
implement another software like that would be a logistical nightmare.

Yes it does require it.
Some thinclient manufacturers even include it on their CE/Linux build.
With native clients for pretty much every single platform, if you are
not a 100% Windows shop, ThinPrint is the way to go.
If you are 100% Windows you may consider Screwdriver Fxp (or whatever is
named now) from Tricerat. Although they do have a 'bridge' for non-Win32
clients it is not the same as ThinPrint.

With Thinprint is there a client side software that needs to be setup
and run?

Thinprint fixed this.

That's going to be my answer to every printing issue now. Get Thinprint.
Seems every strange issue we ever have is corrected by the product.

Ryan,

Do you have XE103W2K041 installed? It fixes a lot of printing issues.

Here's an interesting issue.

I have a Win2k box, MF XP FR3. The user is printing check runs that are
111 pages out of MAS200. On my end, it says Pages 111/111, Status:
Printing. On his end, it says Pages 98/111 pages, status: Spooling. I
can not get the check runs to finish out. However, they have printed
100+ page regular reports through Citrix just fine.

I've tried changing from the UPD to a generic Laserjet driver, which did
not work at all. I also noticed that if I try to restart the spooler
service I cannot - I must reboot.

Thoughts? Anyone? I'm getting desperate here. :-)

I believe Citrix has a hotfix that addresses spooler issues. I had a
similar problem and that fixed it.

Thanks

We have a Win2k TS server with Citrix XP1 FR3. For some reason the
spooler service is continuelly shutting down. Has anyone seen this
before? I don't see any errors in the eventvwr that would be causing
this.
