I haven't ever encountered this before, but maybe it's because I've gotten more regimented on installing hotfixes. I do remember installing some hotfixes with SP4 in the filename and thought that was kind of strange as 3 wasn't out yet. Now I know why... and to avoid those if possible in the future. - -----Original Message----- From: Evan Mann [mailto:emann@xxxxxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Wednesday, July 31, 2002 1:15 PM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: Watch Out with SP3 Preliminary Hotfixes Cause Conflict with Windows 2000 SP3 I didn't read that article in detail, but is it not just pointing out the fact that SP3 is overwriting post SP3 (pre-SP4) hotfixes? Which has occured with MS Service Packs for a very long time. MS stops cramming in hotfixes into service packs a few months before final debugging/packaging and the release date. Nothing new there. - -----Original Message----- From: Minero Hector B DLVA [mailto:MineroHB@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, July 31, 2002 1:56 PM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: Watch Out with SP3 Preliminary Hotfixes Cause Conflict with Windows 2000 SP3 This really sucks! Now I have to check every server and make sure these hotfixes are updated. Microsoft should be doing a better job. ________________________________________ Hector Minero Systems Administrator NSWCDD Code K55 Ph: (540) 653-8859 Fax: (540) 653-8575 - -----Original Message----- From: Jim Kenzig [mailto:jimkenz@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, July 31, 2002 1:42 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx; windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Watch Out with SP3 Preliminary Hotfixes Cause Conflict with Windows 2000 SP3 Q309601 Preliminary Hotfixes Cause Conflict with Windows 2000 SP3 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=3Dkb;EN-US;Q309601 Regards, Jim Kenzig http://thethin.net =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= 3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D This weeks Sponsor: triCerat, Inc ScrewDrivers fxp: Self Configuring Printer Driver with Bandwidth Control Learn more at: http://www.tricerat.com/?page=3Dproducts&product=3Dsdfxp =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= 3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or=20 set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= 3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D This weeks Sponsor: triCerat, Inc ScrewDrivers fxp: Self Configuring Printer Driver with Bandwidth Control Learn more at: http://www.tricerat.com/?page=3Dproducts&product=3Dsdfxp =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= 3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or=20 set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= 3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D This weeks Sponsor: triCerat, Inc ScrewDrivers fxp: Self Configuring Printer Driver with Bandwidth Control Learn more at: http://www.tricerat.com/?page=3Dproducts&product=3Dsdfxp =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= 3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or=20 set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm =================================== This weeks Sponsor: triCerat, Inc ScrewDrivers fxp: Self Configuring Printer Driver with Bandwidth Control Learn more at: http://www.tricerat.com/?page=products&product=sdfxp =================================== For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 7.1 iQA/AwUBPUg/V/l56xfvzmMfEQL95gCg0H3EGvVARiV+gDr34WEOcCfwIBEAni0T shdKg2UhysiDPAtkXzBCVUCv =d6+N -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- =================================== This weeks Sponsor: triCerat, Inc ScrewDrivers fxp: Self Configuring Printer Driver with Bandwidth Control Learn more at: http://www.tricerat.com/?page=products&product=sdfxp =================================== For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm
