I'd have to agree with Minero. I haven't ever encountered this
before, but maybe it's because I've gotten more regimented on
installing hotfixes. I do remember installing some hotfixes with SP4
in the filename and thought that was kind of strange as 3 wasn't out
yet. Now I know why... and to avoid those if possible in the future.

I didn't read that article in detail, but is it not just pointing out
the fact that SP3 is overwriting post SP3 (pre-SP4) hotfixes?  Which
has occured with MS Service Packs for a very long time.

MS stops cramming in hotfixes into service packs a few months before
final debugging/packaging and the release date.  Nothing new there.

This really sucks!  Now I have to check every server and make sure
these hotfixes are updated. Microsoft should be doing a better job.
