Hi list

I am sure there is someone who set up the same environment.

Two W2k3 Web Servers with WI 3.0 and MS NLB activated to make WI 3.0 and
PNagent high available.

Is there a good documentation anywhere ?

What I tried:

Constellation a) (in production)

2 Web Server with one NIC in same subnet
NLB configuration made via NIC-Settings
unicast

Problem: The hosts don't see each other !
WI and PNAgent working only, when one Host is offline.

Constallation b)

2 Web Server with two NICs, one in the routed subnet (Cluster NIC), the
other in a private no-routed subnet (Management NIC)
NLB configuration made via NIC-Settings and later via NLB Configuration GUI
(I think this could cause problems)
tried unicast and multicast: If using multicast, everything looks fine in
NLB Config GUI. When using unicast, I had to make an entry in "hosts" that
the cluster-host could see eachother (resolve their names) via the
Managment-NIC in private network.

Problem: WI and PNAgent don't work in both config of constellation b), even
when one Host is offline.
Symptom: After login in WI, a error message apears that "Service in
unavailable" or "internal error, call the admin"

Ciao, Daniel
