Just for interest:

We recently upgraded a (Small- 15 users) client of mine's server. They
expressed a wish for a remote access solution, but with *low* budget. We were
looking at VPNs (Yuk!), but I decided that we should have a go with their old
hardware, a Dell 350 Mhz with 256 MB RAM. Loaded up Win2003, Tsed it, Office
2003, FileFinder (Their database), stick on the end of their 256k, £25/month
DSL, and pray.

And they are delighted. With 5 users on it uses up their 256MB RAM (With no
users it idles at 128MB), but performance is very good indeed.

Wouldn't want it for mission-critical heavy usage, but for the occasional late
night/foreign visit uses they are making of it, it's great.

Nick
