I am a firm believer in 5e. I refuse to PCL 6, but that is my choice. Personal view. _____ From: Robert Coffman - Info From Data Corporation [mailto:bcoffman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, September 26, 2003 9:06 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Funny you should mention this. I have a new client that called me because (among other reasons) their server was rebooting occasionally. I traced all the crashes to the HP 4050 PCL 6 driver, and knowing that PCL 6 has caused myself and others grief in the past, I "downgraded" them to 5e. I am looking for the driver "HP LaserJet 4000 PCL 5e" (NT), not the " HP LaserJet 4000 Series PCL 5e". I have proven that there is definitely a difference, and have found the non-"series" to work for MANY printers. I have it in my Citrix farm, works great, but we have found a print server which we need this driver on. Chad Schneider Technology Analyst Bemis IT 920-303-7609
