Transmeta Teams with Wyse to Offer Powerful and Efficient New Thin-Client
Designs

Leader in Server-Centric Computing Features Transmeta's Efficient Computing
Crusoe Processor in Latest Advanced V Class of Thin Clients
CITRIX IFORUM CONFERENCE - ORLANDO, FL - October 4, 2004 - Transmeta
Corporation (NASDAQ: TMTA), the leader in efficient computing, and Wyse
Technology, the domain experts in server-centric computing (SCC), announced
today that the advanced versatile, high-performance Wyse® Winterm? V class thin
client line will incorporate Transmeta's Crusoe® processors. Previewing this
week at the Citrix iForum Conference in Orlando, the latest V class of thin
clients takes advantage of the high performance and energy efficient
characteristics of the cost effective Transmeta Crusoe processor.
"Transmeta's efficient computing approach is ideally suited to address the
needs of embedded thin client devices," said Mike DeNeffe, senior director of
the Winterm line for Wyse. "This is a natural evolution of our collaborative
efforts with Transmeta to deliver advanced efficient computing features in our
latest breakthrough line of thin client devices and designs."

The Wyse Winterm V class of thin clients will start shipping before the end of
the year, delivering to end users the proven advantages of the Crusoe
processor. With its inherently energy efficient design enhanced by Transmeta's
original LongRun® power management technologies, the Crusoe processor enables
the Wyse V class of thin clients to have impressive performance in a small,
quiet and fanless design.

"We are pleased to be extending our relationship with Wyse, the market share
leader in thin clients, with the introduction of the V class of thin clients,"
said Arthur L. Swift, senior vice president of marketing at Transmeta. "This
continued collaboration with Wyse brings the attractive features of the Crusoe
processor to a new range of thin client users."

The combined technology advancements from Transmeta and Wyse address a server-
centric computing market that is rapidly gaining acceptance in organizations
worldwide. "The thin client market continues to grow at a healthy 21.3 percent
Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) from 2004-2008, outpacing PC growth in
percentage unit volume," said Bob O'Donnell, research director at analyst firm
IDC. "The advantages of lower cost of ownership, improved performance, and
reliability are compelling to organizations as they continue to adopt
alternatives to the PC in the form of thin clients."
