[THIN] Performance Monitor Problems

We have a farm with a server in it that starts having problems reporting to
cmc.
W2k, sp4, citrix mf xp pzdc.

For unknown reasons I will start getting the following event log messages at
the same time:

One of the first (not repeated):

The open procedure for service "IMAService" in DLL

extensible counter or the service it is collecting data from or the  system
may have been very busy when this call was attempted.   

Then repeated over and over and over:
