Hi Chad, Java, thin and beautiful...... Unfortunately this is rarely true. I've seen too many really bad Oracle java apps. Unless their latest incantation is something different, like most web and java based ERP clients it will be way fatter in terms of WAN bandwidth requirements than running the same client via ICA/RDP. I'd do a bit of testing with regard to bandwidth before I committed myself to any Oracle Java client based application. Having said that, local cacheing of the Java archives etc can make a huge difference but that's not usually part of the regular design. regards, Rick Ulrich Mack Volante Systems On 5/19/05, Schneider, Chad M <CMSchneider@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Anyone? > > I am told they run a java client, so there would be no need for Citrix. > > Thoughts? > ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor: ThinPrint GmbH Now available: The new version .print Engine 6.2 with SSL encryption and certificate management. http://www.thinprint.com ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thin.net/links.cfm ThinWiki community - Excellent SBC Search Capabilities! http://www.thinwiki.com *********************************************************** For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thin.net/citrixlist.cfm
