Through the Login Scripts feature under Windows Settings. I've check
our replication using replmon and everything is fine (what a cool
utility btw!) The versions for the GPO I'm running the script on it
correct.

Many thanks for trying this Magnus, both yours and Neil's input is very
much appreciated!

Kind regards,

John

I just cut and pasted your snippet and it does work. How are you
calling it in the GPO?

Neil,

Many thanks, I'll give it a go. I've had no need to check the normal
stuff as you say, the script never actually runs that far, I've even
tried just doing a:

Set oShell =3D3D CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
oShell.Popup "Startup Script", 10, "Group Policy - Script Policy"

And even this will not work. I'll keep on with it, although possible, I
really don't want to go back to specifying login scripts in the users
profile (for a start I only want this script to work on my Citrix
servers).

I've seen this before, and never conclusively understood why it's
happening.

I assume you've checked the normal issues like member of large numbers
of groups, slow link detection and all that?

The only other thing I can suggest is the userenv debugging and see if
that shows anything of interest.

I must confess to being interested in why it's not working, because as
I've said - I've seen / heard of his before, and don't yet understand
what's going wrong.

Cheers

Neil
