I assume you having installed Windows 2000? I would boot to the
Recovery Console from the Windows 2000 CD, and there is a command line
statement to recreate the boot sector.

Chris

What kind of server and most importantly which RAID controller
are you using?

I have a box with a raid adapter and 3 drives in a raid
5 array. the adapter went bad along with the first drive in the array.
we replaced the adapter then the drive. but we now can't get it to come
back up. it recognizes everything and rebuilt the first drive but it
says that no boot sector is found on the disk. anyone know any tricks
that might fix this?

                thanks,
