[THIN] OT: Windows Event Viewer to SYSLOG Server

If one wanted to consolidate all the logs on their servers to one central
location for auditing purposes, would a person incorporate some type of
syslog server to gather all the information from the servers event viewer,
or is there some other fancy service out there that would do this?
