Thanks to every One who responded to this, turns out It was Norton's Personal Firewall blocking everyone. Client forgot it was installed, I didn't look as I was told there was no firewall installed. Oh Well. Thank You -Doug Rooney Sonoma TileMakers 7750 Bell Rd. I have a client that just got a new computer with Windows XP Pro SP2, everything Seems to be fine, except, it will not talk to any other computer on the network. It is a basic peer-to-peer network. If I do a search for computers by name, it finds Them and I can see the shares on them, but if I try to just go through My Network Places It errors out saying it can not connect to the workgroup. They are all fixed IP, same Workgroup. The other computers are Win98SE and XP Home, they all see each other just fine. I turned off the firewall and gave global permissions to everything. Also I can ping The other computers from the new one, but I cannot ping the new one from any other computer. I tried un-installing SP-2, no change, so I re-installed it. Still no change. If anyone has any tid-bit that may help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You -Doug Rooney Sonoma TileMakers 7750 Bell Rd.
