I've since found that it's possible to minimise the lag by editing
module.ini on the client side. The section called [clientaudio] has some
tweakable values. I've found that the following settings have reduced my lag
to about half a second. Further tweaking causes audio to break up.
NumCommandBuffers=8
NumDataBuffers=4
MaxdataBufferSize=1024
Your mileage may vary, of course.

We have been serving up a number of CBT's that use audio though
Citrix. I have found that what you are experiencing is our most
common problem. A user will click on stop and the sound will
continue for several more seconds. I have not found any workaround or
solution for this.
