[THIN] Multiple session issues

The president of our company just called me over to his office.  He has an
issue where he cannot open multiple apps at once.  If he tries the
previously opend one vanishes off his screen then the new one opens.  If he
pulls up the citrix connection center, it shows the apps as connected, but
they are not visible.  I have double-checked our policies and we do not
restrict the number of different applications that can be launched.  I
confirmed this, and additionally it is only affecting him,
He is running Windows 7 on a laptop with a second monitor and the version
12.1.144 client.
The article I found on Citrix that seems to be the same issue does not have
a resolution stated, and the suggested solution involves creating a new
local profile on the User's PC.
Has anyone seen anything similar?
