Adam that letter you have off Microsoft, sets a precedent. If they have allowed you to do that and actually written it down, the rest of us now have a toothpick to hammer m$ with regarding licensing of m$ products on TS -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Adam.Baum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: 22 April 2004 20:58 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Microsoft Project We do it...and you get screwed on licensing. MS requires a separate license to be purchased for each user. Technically, anyone who has access to the server needs a license. We restrict access to the directory and executables using global groups and NTFS security. It took us a while, but we were able to get a letter from MS blessing us. adam =20 "Robert K Coffman Jr - Info From To: <thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> =20 Data Corporation" cc: <bcoffman@infofro Subject: [THIN] Microsoft Project =20 mdata.com> Sent by: thin-bounce@freel ists.org =20 =20 04/22/2004 12:29 PM Please respond to thin =20 =20 I've been asked about running MS Project in a NT4 TSE / Citrix XPE environment. Anyone doing that, or running it on 2k/2003? How is it licensed?
