[THIN] Metaframe XP ICA client resolution

Just took the Citrix XP admin course and the instructor says that there are
no gains by setting the ica client to 256 colors.
He said the ICA protocol/Client/Display Virtual Channel is optimized for
High Color. So he said that if you are going over a slow link setting
colors to 256 is the wrong thing to do.
Can anyone out there confirm this?
