[THIN] Mapping a network drive on an application basis

Hi All
Is there an easy method by which to map a network drive on a per application
basis
I used to simply add a logon script for each user however this is becoming
quite cumbersome as numerous users have access to multiple applications and
i dont want to slow down their login process while waiting for 10 drives to
map when the session may only use one of these maps
I tried using a batch file to start the application itself although the
batch file didnt like UNC paths, and doesnt look very pretty, is there a
nice tidy way to do this, is this my best option?
