The PS 4 UPD uses the network print queue and driver, so long as it is available, to the best of my knowledge. _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Evan Mann Sent: Wednesday, October 26, 2005 8:35 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Mapped LJ4300 not picking up tray settings I'm willing to give that a shot. Should I expect any odd printing mapping the PS driver to a the UPD? I thought the UPD was largely PCL based? How do I go about removing the LJ 4300 PS driver from my Citrix servers, without damaging other HP drivers? _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Schneider, Chad M Sent: Wednesday, October 26, 2005 9:28 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Mapped LJ4300 not picking up tray settings I have run into the same issue, I understand it relates to how the information, such as additional paper trays is added to citrix. We have found using the PS4 UPD for those, give them all necessary features. We could not get the additional paper trays through auto-creation, without manually configuring for each user, saving to roaming profile, hoping it does not get corrupted. _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Evan Mann Sent: Wednesday, October 26, 2005 8:19 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Mapped LJ4300 not picking up tray settings PS4.0 on 2k3 server hotfixes up to and uncluding 22. Using the same post script driver on the local client and the citrix driver. This is my only 4300 PS I'm mapping and it's the only printer I'm having a problem with. I have tray 3 set to Legal and I have a 1500 sheet tray 4 set to legal. When the printer auto maps, it doesn't pick this up. You can manually set it, but of course, when they log off and the mapped printer is deleted, that setting is forgotten for the next time. Any thoughts?
