I don't think FEC will work with each NIC going to a different switch. I =
am far from being a networking mastermind though. =20

I am going to assume that if you went as far as to have two switches for =
maximum redundancy, that you also have more than one terminal server for =
maximum redunancy. Put both nics of one server on one switch and both =
ports of the other on the other switch, Turn on FEC for the NICS and =
turn on FEC in the switch. You will still be adequetely redundant

The Switch ports and NICs are set to 100-Full Duplex. Thing is the =3D
connection go to separate switches. one cable to Switch one and one =
cable =3D
to switch two. The networking guys wanted it that way to provide maximum =
=3D
redundancy.

I just went into PAM and opened every app and Ok'd it to force a refresh =
=3D
of the app. After doing this it seems the apps are now showing up for =
the =3D
clients. What I don't understand is why this is happening. The server =
=3D
reboot every night. It seems they are not registering their apps when =
the =3D
boot. This farm has been running smoothly for about two years now. The =
=3D
only significant change is the networking change on Saturday.

Dirk,

Make sure your NICs are setup as a Cisco Fast Ether Channel Team, and as
always are manually set to 100Mbps/Full-Duplex and you need to team the
ports on the Cisco switch and again set the ports to =
100Mbps/Full-Duplex. =3D
If
you do these this your NICs should be properly teamed and functioning
correctly (baring any hardware problems).

HTH-

Jeff
