I've had this on non MF servers. One of the many causes is the dns suffix in the TCP properties of the service. Our DNS suffix was not the same as the W2K3 domain name. Changing it to match worked. Check out eventid.net for more causes/solutions. adam Scott_Thornhill@c argill.com To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent by: cc: thin-bounce@freel Subject: [THIN] Event ID: 1053 ists.org 09/08/2004 12:16 PM Please respond to thin Hello, I am receiving the following: Event ID: 1053 Date: 9/8/2004 Time: 8:22:52 AM User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Description: Windows cannot determine the user or computer name.
